Ways to Give

Charitable contributions to the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth are deeply appreciated and essential to the continued growth and expansion of the Museum’s special exhibitions, education programs, and permanent collection. There are many ways to show your support for one of Fort Worth’s most celebrated cultural institutions.

Operating Support 

The Modern is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions to the Museum are fully tax-deductible, according to IRS regulations. Unrestricted gifts support the Modern’s daily operations and underwrite our efforts to fulfill the Museum’s mission of providing engaging arts programming for people of all ages. 

Corporate Matching Gifts
You can maximize your gift with a corporate matching gift. Contact your human resources department to find out if your company matches gifts of current or past employees. 

Tribute and Memorial Gifts
A contribution to the Modern in the form of a tribute or memorial gift is a meaningful way to honor an individual important to you and your family and who has had a special relationship with the Museum. Upon receipt of your gift, a card will be sent to the family or honored individual to let them know of your generosity and thoughtfulness.

Corporate Support

Grant Support
Foundation and government donors provide critical support to the Modern that furthers the Museum’s mission of presenting world-class modern and contemporary art and providing innovative learning opportunities for people of all ages.

Donor-Advised Funds
We welcome gifts made through a donor-advised fund. Generally, you may use your fund to cover the cost of a Friend-level membership, which is 100% tax-deductible, or if you waive more than incidental benefits related to the membership. Examples of incidental membership benefits include free admission to exhibitions, discounts at the Modern Shop and Café Modern, and invitations to special events where tickets are purchased separately. No goods or services beyond incidental benefits may be provided when making a gift through a donor-advised fund. Please consult your financial or tax advisor for further information.

Planned Giving
Leave a legacy for the Modern’s future with a planned gift. Speak with your financial advisor to discuss how to include the Museum in your estate plans through a bequest of securities, retirement assets, life insurance, or personal property.
