Middle-school student Dawn Weiner (Heather Matarazzo) faces degradation at home and at school, where she is teased constantly. Stuck between her nerdy older brother, Mark (Matthew Faber), and perky younger sister, Missy (Daria Kalinina), middle-child Dawn can't seem to find a place to belong. Although she has a crush on a cute boy (Eric Mabius) whom her brother knows, she can only catch the attention of bully Brandon (Brendan Sexton III), who shows his affection by threatening her.

The Fort Worth Film Club (FWFC) partnered in 2022 with the Reel House Foundation after the closing of Fort Worth’s lone art house theater, the Grand Berry Theater. Continuing what the Grand Berry started, FWFC's goal is to build a community in Fort Worth around a shared love of film. The Club hosts free monthly screenings, focusing on films with cultural and local importance. Screenings are open to the public and are followed by a moderated discussion.
