Japanese animation powerhouse Studio Ghibli explores a new creative direction after the retirement of its founder Hayao Miyazaki with this realistically drawn feature created in partnership with Dutch animator Michaël Dudok de Wit. This tale of a shipwrecked man who establishes a family and a new life on an island inhabited only by majestic animal life is told without words. Nominated for a 2017 Academy Award.
