In the 1950s, Suze (Andrea Riseborough) and Arthur (Harry Melling) live an outwardly traditional lifestyle as the Lower East Side’s most bohemian couple. The pair's cage is rattled when they encounter a gang of sadistic, leather-clad greasers known as The Young Gents. Suze and Arthur’s initial fear evolves into a confusing cocktail of thrill and lust. Their sudden exposure to flamboyant masculinity unlocks the realization that Suze is an aspiring leather daddy who mistook herself for a housewife. Meanwhile, the perpetually sensitive Arthur’s obsessive gender trouble goes sideways when one of the Young Gents, Teddy (Karl Glusman), sparks queer desire.
The Fort Worth Film Club was founded in 2022 after the closing of Fort Worth’s lone art house theater: the Grand Berry Theater. Continuing what the Grand Berry started, the newly branded Fort Worth Film Club's goal is to build a community in Fort Worth around a shared love of film. The Fort Worth Film Club hosts free monthly screenings aiming for films with cultural and local importance. These screenings are open to the public and are followed by a moderated discussion.
