The Modern's Auditorium

Magnolia at the Modern is an ongoing series featuring critically acclaimed films. Tickets are $10; $8 for Friend-level Modern members; $7 for Associate-level Modern members and above. Indulge yourself with a series featuring many of “My Favorite Films” including tales of romance, humor, suspense, satire, and heroism. The series features films since 1945. While many of these films are available through streaming, it’s always more fun to see them in the theater. Screenings are at 2 pm most Wednesdays. Tickets are $5 (FREE for Modern members), available at the museum’s admission desk or online.

Presented by Amphibian Stage in partnership with the Modern, National Theatre Live is the National Theatre of Great Britain’s initiative to broadcast live performances from the National’s stages to cinemas worldwide. National Theatre Live performances are filmed live in high definition and broadcast via satellite to almost 400 cinemas around the world, live in Europe and some US cities, and time-delayed in countries further afield. Movies That Matter is a FREE, bi-monthly film series that highlights important human and civil rights issues. Each event features a film screening followed by a moderated discussion with special guests. Reserve your seats at the City of Fort Worth's Movies That Matter web page.

The Modern's new Reel House Foundation Family Movie Series invites young audiences to immerse themselves in the world of cinema, exploring diverse perspectives, themes, and ideas. This curated series features screenings designed to spark curiosity and foster critical thinking, promoting dialogue, empathy, and cultural awareness. Each month, individuals and groups can enjoy a selection of films suitable for all ages, creating shared cinematic experiences. The Reel House Foundation believes in the transformative power of cinema to inspire, educate, and unite communities. The mission is to foster a vibrant community centered around the love of film in Fort Worth while providing cinematic experiences to underserved children in our area.
