Our T/AP meeting for 18 November began with Iris leading a critique of everyone’s work from the previous week. Everyone took turns discussing the motivations behind their projects—explaining their inspirations and methodological approaches while receiving critical feedback and helpful commentary from fellow students.
The rest of class was spent working on the next assignment: a group project based on Kurt Schwitters’s Merzbau. The class was divided into groups and given a large piece of corrugated cardboard to divide. Each student cut off a piece of the cardboard and began working on their contribution to the Merzbau-inspired construction.
Next week will see the students continuing to work on their Merzbau-inspired group projects.
