Teen-Artist Project
The Modern’s Teen-Artist Project pairs teenagers (sophomores to seniors) with artists as teachers. Throughout the program, students learn about modern and contemporary art in the galleries, work on related art projects in the museum studio, and visit local museums and galleries. Students meet at the museum on most Sundays, December through May, from 2 to 5 pm. The program is free, and all sophomores, juniors, and seniors who want to learn more about visual art are invited to apply. A maximum of 22 dedicated, hardworking, and creative students will be accepted to participate in the program based on their applications, accompanying materials, and interviews with museum staff. Students are required to make a serious commitment to the program and attend class regularly. Applications are available at www.themodern.org.

Applications for the 2008–2009 school year are due October 1.
