When planning for their special day, couples can now consider the Shop at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth for their wedding registry.

Registering at the Modern Shop is as simple as filling out a form. The questionnaire asks couples to itemize their gift wish list and to share a favorite travel destination, colors they like, and give an idea of what they want their home to be.

Shop manager Lorri Wright explains, "I wanted it to be more personal than just a list of things." Wright acknowledges that choosing a wedding gift can be difficult for some guests and the registry at the Modern Shop makes this experience warm and personal for the couple, as well as their guests.

Couples planning to wed as early as this summer can select from a range of designer items, including handmade porcelain for everyday use by MUD Australia. The collection is characterized by soft, muted colors that fit with a contemporary lifestyle. These easy-to-care-for pieces are oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe. Additional popular kitchen items come from the contemporary kitchenware design company Joseph Joseph. Twin brothers Richard and Antony Joseph-globally recognized for their design aesthetic-created the line in 2003. The Modern Shop features the Joseph Joseph salad bowl and server set, the Red Dot Design winning Y Grinder, and the six-piece Elevate kitchen tool set.

The Modern Shop registry also features party favors, such as a beautifully packaged, two-piece Wild Woman truffle set, handmade by chocolatier Kevin Wenzel of Wiseman House Chocolates in Hico, Texas.

Couples can register at the Modern Shop during Museum hours or schedule an appointment with Stephanie Watson at 817.840.2135.
